| Reinvention of Consulting Services
A district-wide consultation regarding Consulting Services was conducted by Populus Community Planning Inc. during the months of October and November, 2008. Five themes emerged from this consultation. The themes are:
- Everything offered by Consulting Services is needed - the services are highly valued. There appears to be no need to eliminate any particular services.
- There needs to be a stronger connection between Consulting Services and schools.
- Differentiated and collaborative professional learning opportunities, including coaching, are required to meet the needs of the adult learner.
- Access to Consulting Services needs to be simple and timely.
- The current cost recovery model is viewed as an obstacle to effective, timely, collaborative service delivery.
